Renowned for representing India in the men's high jump F42 category, he achieved a remarkable feat at the 2012 Summer Paralympics held in London, where he won a silver medal by clearing a height of 1.74 meters in the finals. Notably, he was born with a disability in his left leg, and he stands out as the only Indian medalist in that Paralympic and is also the sixth Indian to win a medal at the Paralympics.
