Professor Girishwar Misra, born on April 21, 1951, is an Indian educator, psychologist, sociologist, writer, and editor. He currently serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University. He began his career in 1970 after earning a bachelor's degree in psychology from Gorakhpur University, later obtaining a PhD. He has also held the position of Editor-in-Chief for the Fifth ICSSR Survey of Psychology and is the editor of the National Academy of Psychology in India and the journal Mental Studies.
