Gita Ghatak (1931-2009) was an Indian Bengali Rabindra Sangeet singer. Born in Germany, she spent part of her childhood there before studying at Shantiniketan's Pathbhavan and Sangeet Bhavan. She married Anish Ghatak, son of the writer Manish Ghatak and brother of Mahashweta Devi. Gita was also a long-time teacher at South Point School, where she eventually retired. One of her younger sisters, Rita Gangopadhyay, is a renowned classical music artist.
