Giuseppe Leone (December 24, 1936 – April 17, 2024) was an Italian photographer notable for capturing the landscapes and customs of Sicily from the 1950s onwards. He published over 50 volumes with various publishers and held exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Leone preferred black and white photography for its representation of nature and transformation, but his Cibachrome shots of coastal contexts reflected vibrant colors inspired by his friend Piero Guccione, while his portraits of daily life resonated with the poetic style of Renato Guttuso.
