Dr. Glauco Villas Boas was a Brazilian cartoonist born on March 10, 1957, in Jandaia do Sul, Paraná. He moved to Ribeirão Preto in 1976, where he published his first work. He was recognized in 1977 with an award from the Salão Internacional de Humor de Piracicaba. Glauco created popular comic characters for Folha de São Paulo and worked as an editor for various humor shows. He believed in the Santo Daime doctrine and was a founder of the animist church Céu de Maria. He was murdered on March 12, 2010, in Osasco, São Paulo.
