Gleb Valentinovich Markelov (born February 11, 1948) is a Soviet and Russian literary scholar, archaeographer, researcher of monuments of Old Russian literature and book culture, and Old Russian iconography. He is a collector of Old Russian manuscripts and a senior researcher at the V. I. Malychev Archive of the Pushkin House. Markelov has authored over 200 scientific papers, including several monographs, and is a member of the St. Petersburg branch of the Archaeographic Commission of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He won the A. N. Veselovsky Award in 2020 for his monograph on a 17th-century manuscript collection.
