Glenn H. English Jr. was a United States Army soldier who received the Medal of Honor for his bravery during the Vietnam War. Born on April 23, 1940, he was involved in an ambush in Binh Dinh Province, where he attempted to rescue a comrade from a burning truck, fully aware of the imminent explosion. Tragically, his heroic effort led to his death on September 7, 1970, along with three other soldiers. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 1971 for his courageous actions.
