Glenn Newton Wilkes was an influential American college basketball coach and athletics administrator, recognized as the Godfather of Florida basketball. He coached the men's basketball team at Stetson University from 1957 to 1993, achieving over 550 wins and 27 winning seasons. He also served as the school's athletic director for 22 years. A Mercer University alumnus, Wilkes published a book on basketball. His legacy continues through his son, Glenn Wilkes Jr., head coach at Rollins College, and his grandson, Wyatt, who plays at Florida State University.
