Gloria McCloskey (Rogers), born on May 20, 1935, is a former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League player who played as an outfielder for the Rockford Peaches. After her brief baseball career, she attended Christian College where she excelled in sports and was named Athletic Queen. She later earned a degree from Northeast Missouri State University and taught physical education while coaching various sports. McCloskey became recognized in Women's Baseball and was honored in a permanent display at the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988. She has shared her baseball experiences in schools since the 1992 film A League of Their Own.
