She is recognized as the first woman to record a rock and roll song in Spanish in Mexico in 1956. Her unique contribution to the music industry paved the way for future artists in the Latin rock genre. Ríos had a vibrant career in entertainment until her passing in San Antonio on March 2, 2002.
