Gohar Gasparyan was an Armenian opera singer, born in Cairo on December 14, 1924, and passed away in Yerevan on May 16, 2007. She was known as the 'Armenian Nightingale.' After studying music in Egypt, she emigrated to Armenia in 1948. She began singing at the Armenian Opera House in 1949 and performed in 23 operas throughout her career, alongside her own concerts. Gasparyan received numerous accolades, including the title of People’s Artist of the Soviet Union and the Order of Mesrop Mashtots.
