Homer Curry, nicknamed 'Goose', was an American outfielder and manager in the Negro leagues from the 1920s to the 1940s. Born on May 19, 1905, in Mexia, Texas, he debuted in the Negro leagues in 1928 with the Cleveland Tigers. Over a 20-year career, he played and later managed teams such as the Memphis Red Sox and the Philadelphia Stars. He passed away on March 30, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 68.
