Carl Göran Åhgren, born May 9, 1950, is a Swedish journalist known for his work as a reporter for the Swedish Television news program Rapport. He has been with SVT since the late 1970s, serving as a reporter, editor, and host. Åhgren covered significant events, including the announcement of the Nobel Prize in Literature, and reported from the US as a correspondent. He reported on major sporting events such as the Winter Olympics and World Cup. He retired in May 2017 but continued to contribute as a substitute reporter.
