Gordon Winston Janes (1918–1985) was a Newfoundland accountant, educator, business manager, and politician. He represented Fogo in the Newfoundland House of Assembly from 1949 to 1956. After serving in World War II, he engaged in the cooperative movement and public accounting. Janes managed a nightclub and built a motel, which was destroyed by a fire in 1973. He retired from business due to health issues. Born in Pool's Island, he was educated there and in St. John's and married Margaret Maria Smith, with whom he had two children.
