Gorjan Košuta is a Slovenian violinist and educator born on January 19, 1947, in Ljubljana. After completing his studies at the Secondary Music School in Ljubljana, he furthered his education in the USA. From 1966, he studied under Professor Igor Ozim at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, where he graduated in 1972 and became Ozim's assistant in 1973. He has been a professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne since 1978 and also teaches at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.
