Gorka Landaburu Illarramendi is a Spanish journalist born in Paris in 1951. He is the son of Francisco Javier Landáburu Fernández de Betoño, a politician and vice president of the Government of Euzkadi in exile. He has a brother, Ander Landáburu, who is the director of El País in the Basque Country. Landaburu studied journalism in Paris and returned to Spain in 1972, where he worked as a French teacher in various schools.
