He served as the first chairperson of the Gustavsbergs Porslinsmuseum and later led the newly formed Keramiskt Centrum. With a degree in art, theater, and literary science, he has written extensively about culture, art, and Swedish restaurant life. He is the son of porcelain painter Edla Sofia Arvidsson and has an adopted daughter, Malin Arvidsson.
