Gourgen Cholakhyan was an Armenian engineer, industrial organizer, and public figure, born on May 9, 1909, in Alexandrapol, in the Russian Empire. He made significant contributions to the engineering field and was recognized as a Honored Engineer of the Armenian SSR in 1964. Cholakhyan is also notable for being the father of architect Iza Cholakhyan. His legacy continued until his passing on December 26, 1992, in Yerevan, Armenia.
