Graeme Kelling was a Scottish musician and the original guitarist of the band Deacon Blue. Born in Paisley and raised in Glasgow, he left the Plymouth Brethren sect to pursue music. In the 1980s, he played in various bands and became known for his role in Deacon Blue, co-writing their hit 'Loaded' and contributing to several albums. After a hiatus, he rejoined the band despite a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, continuing to work until his death in 2004.
