Greeth Gilhuis-Smitskamp (1908-2008) was a Dutch children's book author and poet. Born in The Hague, she wrote short stories that debuted in 1929. Married to a Reformed minister, she co-authored numerous children's books with her daughter, illustrated by notable artists. Gilhuis-Smitskamp's works were published by the Protestant publisher Callenbach, and she contributed to the magazine Moeder. As a poet, her work was recognized by Gerrit Komrij, who featured one of her poems in a children's poetry anthology. She passed away shortly after celebrating her 100th birthday.
