Greg Gianforte is an American businessman, engineer, author, and politician born on April 17, 1961. He has served as a U.S. Representative for Montana since 2017. Gianforte co-founded RightNow Technologies, a customer relationship management software company, which went public in 2004 and was acquired by Oracle in 2011. He is among the few technology executives elected to political office in the U.S. He won Montana's congressional seat in a special election in 2017 and was re-elected in 2018. He was convicted of assault in 2017 for attacking a journalist.
