Gregory Joseph Lens was an American football defensive tackle born on March 11, 1945, in Marshall, Minnesota. He attended Central Catholic High School and played college football at Trinity University. Lens was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the NFL Draft and played in 21 games for the Atlanta Falcons during 1970 and 1971. He also played in the World Football League for the New York Stars and Charlotte Hornets. Lens was inducted into the Trinity University Hall of Fame in 2007 and diagnosed with CTE after his death in 2009.
