He is a church leader, priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, and a member of the Basilian Order from 1989 to 2007. Hrynkiw holds a doctorate in theology and has had a significant impact as an educator. Additionally, he served as the Proto-Archimandrite of the Province of the Most Holy Saviour of the Basilian Order of St. Josaphat from 2004 to 2007.
