Maren Margrethe "Grethe" Bartram, born on February 23, 1924, in Aarhus, was a Danish informant during the German occupation. Known for betraying at least 53 members of the resistance to the Germans, she played a significant role in undermining the Aarhus communist resistance movement. After the war, she was sentenced to death but received a commuted sentence from King Christian X to life imprisonment. Released in 1956, she lived in Vessigebro, Sweden, under the name Margrethe Thomsen, sharing her home with another woman.
