Griffo, born Werner Goelen on May 21, 1949, in Wilrijk, Belgium, is a Belgian comic book artist. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, beginning at the age of 15. In 1975, he joined Lombard Publishing and succeeded in the series 'Modeste et Pompon.' He has illustrated for various magazines, contributed to comic series such as 'L'Ordre du Dragon Noir' and 'S.O.S. Bonheur,' and collaborated extensively with writer Jean Dufaux. His notable works include 'Giacomo C' and 'Monsieur Noir.' Griffo has also been involved in inking, advertising, and erotic art.
