Grigori Grabovoi, born on November 14, 1963, in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, is a qualified mechanic and paramedic, as well as the founder and leader of the Russian sect Teaching of Universal Salvation and Harmonious Development. He claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, capable of resurrecting the dead, curing diseases such as AIDS and cancer, and diagnosing and resolving electronic device issues remotely. In 2008, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison for promising to resurrect children who died in the Beslan school siege. He was released in early 2010 and now resides in Serbia.
