Grigory Wassiljewitsch Kisunko (20 July 1918 – 11 October 1998) was a Soviet physicist specializing in electrodynamics. He is regarded as the father of Soviet missile defense. Kisunko was the chief developer of the world's first missile defense system, known as System A, and later worked on the A-35 ABM system. His contributions significantly influenced the field of missile defense technology in the Soviet Union.
