Grigory Uditsky, known as Bishop Grigory, was an influential figure in the Serbian Orthodox Church. Born on January 14, 1911, in Velika Kikinda, he was educated in religious studies at the Seminary in Sremski Karlovci and the University of Belgrade. He served as a priest and professor, emigrated to the U.S. after WWII, and became the first bishop of the newly created Western American Diocese in 1963. He passed away on October 9, 1985, in Alhambra, California, and is buried in a Serbian cemetery in Los Angeles.
