Guido Vedovato was an Italian general born on December 24, 1906, who served as the Chief of Defence Staff from 1968 to 1970. He enlisted in the Royal Italian Army in 1927 and took part in the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, the invasion of France, and the conflict against Greece. After the war, he continued serving in the military, commanding the Grenadiers of Sardinia Division and the 3rd Corps, as well as commanding Allied ground forces in Southern Europe.
