Guilherme Posser da Costa is an African politician born in 1953 who served as the Prime Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe from January 5, 1999, to September 26, 2001. He held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs three times in different periods: 1987-1988, 1990-1991, and 1994-1996. In 2004, he faced legal troubles linked to an alleged attack on the Attorney General's office, leading to his resignation from parliament in 2005. In 2006, he was elected President of the MLSTP/PSD party, succeeding its founder.
