He competed in various categories from 1952 to 1975, representing Mexico in major international tournaments, including the Thomas Cup. He was recognized as one of Mexico's top young badminton talents in the late 1950s and achieved significant success throughout the 1960s. He won four national championship titles, often competing alongside his sister and another fellow player, Salvador Peniche, and was ranked among Mexico’s best badminton players.
