Gumedin Suren Vardanyan (May 2, 1933 - August 3, 2022) was a prominent Armenian Soviet mechanic. He achieved the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1976 and became a professor in 1979. His contributions to science and technology were recognized when he was named an Honored Figure in Science and Technology of the Russian Federation in 1997. Vardanyan was born in Varmaziar, located in the Vagharshapat Region of the Armenian SSR, and he played a significant role in his field until his passing in 2022.
