Gunnar Giljarhus was a Norwegian major general, sports personality, and businessman born on December 11, 1925, in Voss. He served as the first president of the Norwegian Biathlon Federation and was managing director at Raufoss Ammunition Factory and Arbeiderbladet. Giljarhus was also chairman of A/S Sydvaranger and Ankerløkken A/S. In 1991, he resigned from the board of Arbeiderbladet due to the newspaper's coverage of the M72 case, while concurrently serving as chairman at the ammunition factory in Raufoss.
