Günter Poser was a German officer who rose to the rank of Rear Admiral in the Federal Navy of the Bundeswehr. During World War II, he served as the commander of submarines U 59, U 432, and U 202. After the war, he held significant positions as military attaché for the Federal Republic of Germany in Japan and South Korea. He also took on roles as a high-ranking NATO official until 1973 and briefly served as the deputy national chairman of the political party Die Republikaner.
