Archbishop Hury (real name: Mikhail Pyatrovich Apalka) is a Belarusian Orthodox ecclesiastical leader born on May 30, 1956, in Kalektyuna, Polotsk District, Vitebsk Region, BSSR. He has been the Archbishop of Novogrudok and Slonim since 1996 and served as the rector of the Minsk Spiritual Seminary from 2012 to 2020. Hury is considered one of the most conservative clergy members in the Belarusian Orthodox Church and held the position of head of the Belarusian Exarchate from 2012 to 2014.
