Gürsel Yaprakcı was a Turkish football goalkeeper born on February 5, 1991, in Konya. He started his football career in youth teams and joined Konya Şekerspor in 2005. He was promoted to the professional squad in 2008, establishing himself as the main goalkeeper in the 2010/11 season. Tragically, he was shot and killed on May 31, 2011, in a dispute over debts, with a friend also succumbing to injuries shortly after.
