Dr. Gyan Prakash Pilania, born on February 18, 1932, in Sri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan, is a prominent Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and currently with the National People's Party. He served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan during two terms from 2004 to 2008 and 2008 to 2014. Pilania is also recognized as a social reformer and leader of farmers in the region. Before his political career, he joined the Indian Police Service in 1955.
