György Nébald is a retired Hungarian fencer specializing in sabre, born on March 9, 1956, in Budapest. Competing from the 1970s through the 1990s, he participated in three Olympic Games, winning an individual bronze medal in 1980, gold in team sabre in 1988, and silver in 1992. He earned eleven medals at World Championships and multiple medals at the European Championships and Universiades. Nébald is also known for his involvement as president of the Hungarian Olympic Champions Club from 2012 to 2021 and is the brother of fencer Rudolf Nébald.
