H. R. Wimalasiri is a former Sri Lankan politician who served as a member of parliament representing the Devinuwara constituency of Matara. Elected in 1994 under the United National Party, he currently serves as the Chief Organiser for the UNP in Devinuwara. Wimalasiri has a background in education from Nalanda College Colombo and was involved in cricket, playing for the college's First XI team in 1971. His peers included notable players Bandula Warnapura, Sunil Jayasinghe, and Jayantha Seneviratne.
