Dr. Habel Melkias Suwae (28 May 1952 – 3 September 2020), commonly abbreviated as HMS, was an Indonesian politician who served as the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council of the Indonesian Unity Party in Papua. He was previously the Regent of Jayapura from 2006 to 2011, during which time he partnered with Vice Regent Zadrak Wamebu. His last position was as a Special Staff Advisor at the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BKPM).
