Hajrudin Somun (born April 10, 1937) is a prominent Bosnian journalist and diplomat. He served as the first Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkey (1993–1998) and later to Malaysia (2002–2004). An esteemed journalist since his youth, Somun has reported on significant international issues, including conflicts in the Middle East and earned accolades for his work. He has authored multiple books and articles and was an influential figure during Bosnia's diplomatic efforts in the 1990s. After retirement, he has continued to lecture and publish works on diplomacy and international affairs.
