Hakan Bıçakcı is a contemporary Turkish writer and novelist born in 1978 in Istanbul. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul before moving to Ankara for university in 1996, graduating from the Economics Department of Bilkent University in 2001. He has authored several novels including 'Romantik Korku' (2002), 'Rüya Günlüğü' (2003), 'Boş Zaman' (2004), and 'Karanlık Oda' (2010), and a short story collection 'Ben Tek Siz Hepiniz' (2011).
