Halil Tikveša is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian visual artist and graphic designer, born in 1935 in Šurmanci. He completed the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1955, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1961, and obtained his master's degree in 1964. He taught drawing and graphics at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad until 2000 and was a visiting professor in Sarajevo from 2001 to 2010. An emeritus professor since 2013, Tikveša has exhibited his work internationally, with over 100 solo exhibitions and numerous participations in prestigious exhibitions and biennials.
