Halina Marta Kurowska was a Polish Army lieutenant and a prominent member of the Home Army (AK). She was born on July 29, 1915, in Chełmża and died on January 2, 1984, in Gdańsk. Kurowska served as a courier for the Command of the 'Gryf Pomorski' and was the organizer and commander of the female branch 'Gryf' - 'Przedświt'. She also held positions assisting the Chair of the Organization of Western Lands 'Ojczyzna' and later commanded couriers in the command of the AK battalion 'Iwo'.
