Halina Micińska-Kenarowa was a Polish writer and educator, born on May 18, 1915, in Kiev. She served as the long-time director of the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. After WWII, she returned to Poland from Paris, where she had worked at Polish Radio and had a daughter. Halina was married twice, first to Bolesław Miciński and later to Antoni Kenar. She retired in 1970 and passed away on June 23, 1998, in Zakopane, where she was buried beside her second husband.
