Halis Bütünley was a Turkish musician born on December 8, 1956, in Istanbul. He played the drums in numerous orchestras and performed solo concerts. In 1980, he worked with the Galata Tower Orchestra and various orchestras in Switzerland for 7-8 months. He contributed to albums of notable artists like Ajda Pekkan and Nükhet Duru and also managed several singers. In 2006, he opened a music studio for amateur musicians. Bütünley was seriously injured in a car accident in 1998 and passed away from a heart attack on July 4, 2016, at the age of 60.
