Halvar Ellingsen is a Norwegian chef, born in 1986, who won the Norwegian championship in culinary arts in 2009 as one of the youngest winners. He studied at Melbu videregående skole from 2002 to 2004 and completed his apprenticeship at De fire roser in Harstad. Ellingsen has worked at several restaurants, including Bagatelle and Haga gård, and he currently works at Arakataka and as a member of the Norwegian national culinary team. He is based in Sortland, Vesterålen, where he also runs Halvar Ellingsen Catering.
