Hanna Chubach was a prominent Ukrainian poet born on January 6, 1941, in Ploske village, Vinnytsya Oblast, Ukraine. She became a notable literary figure, recognized as an Honored Art Worker of Ukraine and a member of the National Writers' Union since 1971. Chubach authored around 60 books and over 500 songs throughout her career, which also included work as a journalist in the 1970s and 1980s, and later served as an advisor for the Slavic peoples at a Washington literature conference in 1997. She passed away on February 19, 2019.
