Hanna Szczepanowska (1929-2017) was a Polish soldier of the Home Army and the Gray Ranks, as well as a veteran's activist. At the age of 12, she joined the Gray Ranks during World War II and served as a messenger in the Warsaw Uprising. After the war, she became a prominent member of various organizations supporting Polish veterans. She was posthumously promoted to the rank of major and is remembered for her contributions to Polish history and her dedication to veteran affairs. She was buried in Warsaw at the Powązki Cemetery.
