Hans Erik Franzén was a Swedish engineer and business leader born on December 2, 1940, in Engelbrekts församling, Stockholm. He co-founded the wholesale company OEM in 1974 and served as its CEO until 2001. Under his leadership, OEM became a major player in the technical trading industry and went public in 1983. Franzén was married to Siv Falk and had four children, including Tomas Franzén, who later became the CEO of Bonnier AB. He passed away on January 17, 2019.
